Best Construction Social Media Campaign

During the 2024 summer intern season, CBG implemented a social media campaign across Instagram, LinkedIn, and X to showcase its internship program while driving engagement with key audiences, including current and potential interns, employees, industry professionals, colleges, and the general public.

The campaign began on May 13 (the first intern’s start date) with a post welcoming CBG’s 31 interns from across the country. Throughout the summer, posts were crafted to provide insight into the CBG intern experience, highlighting each region. Interns submitted content featuring their work on and off jobsites, participation in trainings, and involvement in team-building activities. Each photo included a location tag in the bottom right-hand corner to inform the audience of the project and/or location as well as a navy feather gradient to visually signal that the post was an intern spotlight. A post was also created for National Intern Day, which shared additional shots from the interns’ summers. This post was a standout, receiving 879 impressions and 42 profile visits on Instagram. While spotlighting interns, CBG maintained a stream of project and company culture content, sustaining engagement with existing audiences.

LinkedIn saw the most significant growth during the campaign, with increases in followers (30.32%), impressions (43.28%), and engagements (54.48%). CBG also received two inquiries about positions via LinkedIn. Meanwhile, website traffic from social media increased by 2.81%, reinforcing the campaign’s effectiveness.

By blending informative and engaging content, CBG’s summer intern campaign highlighted the interns’ accomplishments and appealed to future recruits.
