Mark Maloney is an independent design consultant whose work centers on bringing clarity & value to the digital experience. A biochemist by training, Mark’s analytical approach to interactive product design ensures best-of-class work product that is on strategy, user-centric and results-focused.
Over his 20+ year career, Mark has worked to blur the lines between television and the Web for MTV, provided strategic creative counsel to Coke and Samsung, redesigned the enterprise user experience platforms of AOL Advertising, newBrandAnalytics and eDriving and helped bring early stage startups such as Videology, Allovue, Rezility and ShiftOne to life. He has helped to introduce blended learning to over a million college students worldwide with Echo360 and has worked with eDriving to bring smartphone telematics to both the consumer and fleet markets. In 2013, CEO Meg Whitman highlighted Mark’s work on the HP Intranet in a keynote speech to shareholders.
Mark's career as a freelance designer and web developer began in 1995. In 1998, he joined Gr8, an Adweek Top 100 Interactive Agency, and was quickly promoted to Art Director. Striking out on his own in 2000, he founded the design agency no.inc, a nationally recognized leader in interactive communications and product development. By 2001, he had developed an exclusive partnership between no.inc and Berlin Cameron Partners (NY) where he served as Director of Interactive Services from 2002-2007.
Mark serves as a trustee of The Odyssey School where he sits on the inclusion and outreach committees and chairs the ad hoc committee on enrollment. In 2018, he founded the Patricia A. Maloney Fund at the Odyssey School.
In 2005, he was named to the Baltimore Business Journal's list of "Top 40 Under 40". He holds an M.S. from the University of Maryland and a B.S. from Roanoke College.
