About the Entry



Sea Tow's cross-platform mobile application for iOS and Android was created to make boating safer and more enjoyable by providing the confidence that help is just a swipe away. Offered as a free service, the goal was to increase new and renewing Sea Tow memberships.

An elegant and intuitive interface showcased tidal and weather forecasts to help plan the perfect weekend getaway on the water. The mobile application also featured an accurate compass, speedometer, latitude/longitude for navigational assistance and a “night mode” display to keep night vision sharp without disrupting focus.

The Sea Tow app provided boaters with the peace of mind that - should anything happen while boating - contacting Sea Tow for help is quick and easy. The app used the mobile phone's GPS feature to relay location to Sea Tow for a fast and accurate response time.
