Lathem Time’s PayClock Online began as a native application for iOS. Bluetube took the existing iOS code and created an Android version that not only maintained the original functionality but also incorporated new features.

Built for Lathem’s clients, the goal was for managers and employees to have the ability to track their work hours from anywhere, regardless of device. In building the Android version, Bluetube added features such as the ability to clock in/out across departments, a GPS capability to allow supervisors to ensure employees are in the correct place while tracking time, at-a-glance time entry browsing, and Supervisor Mode to allow supervisors to modify and track time schedules.

Bluetube was able to preserve the look and feel of the native Android interface, rather than porting over the app with iOS user interactions and designs. By creating two native applications, Lathem is now able to market its app to everyone, regardless of whether they are using an iOS or Android device.
