Baltimore County’s Power of Age (POA) Expo is the preeminent regional event for learning about resources, products and services related to age and aging. It is designed to showcase the County’s Department of Aging programs along with those of sister agencies. The website informs and encourages older adults, caregivers and professionals to attend the Expo. The site also assists the Department of Aging in building the Expo brand and in courting businesses locally and nationally, to sponsor and exhibit. This newly redesigned version of the POA website is fully responsive. The site-wide template maintains a consistent look and feel while promoting the new brand. The page layout and content is more reader-friendly and accessible, featuring larger fonts and higher-quality images. Other improvements include making it easier for sponsors to identify, compare and tailor sponsorship options to the needs of their organization and to expand the exposure of their organization. The new navigation greatly simplifies learning about the expo, and better organizes information based on the three audience types—attendees, exhibitors and sponsors. Each navigation button includes an accordion menu with links to individual landing pages, which allows visitors to browse the structure of the site without having to click through multiple layers of navigation.
