About the Entry

Downtown Joe’s is a local brewery and restaurant in downtown Napa. The goal of the new website was to compete with the newer restaurants that are opening in downtown and to draw in the high amount of tourists that come each year as well as retain the beloved local customers. The target audience varied and specifically focused on families for affordable dinners, young people (over 21) looking to go out and enjoy craft beers and live music, and couples who could enjoy the backroom dining space along the river or patio.
The new website featured a modern design but with the classic elements of the brand – the green colors of the pub and the warm tones of the restaurant – stylish but remaining authentic. A new craft beer menu was added using the custom bottle labels. Users can easily explore the different beers by category in a visually engaging way. A new calendar was implemented that offered another visually engaging way to view upcoming events such as live bands and shows. People can subscribe to the calendar and receive notifications about new events.
