The audience for the Malouf Base App is purchasers of a Malouf adjustable bed base. The goal of the app was (and is) to improve the standard technology deemed acceptable by suppliers of base motors and control boxes.
OKIN and Richmat are the two largest suppliers and make most of the apps available. They’ll re-skin the app for each company, which means companies using their parts are stuck with the same faulty technology. The apps don’t maintain a good connection, are difficult to pair with beds, and offer a poor user experience.
When creating the Malouf Base App, our team of software engineers coded everything from scratch. After convincing both manufacturers to send us the source codes, we extracted the raw Bluetooth commands and started over. We wrote our own Bluetooth module to connect to the base—and stay connected. And, the user interface was designed by our award-winning graphic design team (in light and dark mode with a sunset/sunrise setting) and written by our copy team for an excellent user experience.
Then, we built up the features, so it was like nothing available in the industry. We’re the only app that works with Siri Shortcuts and can be paired with both OKIN and Richmat control boxes. Plus, with Partner Control, you can sync the app to multiple bases and adjust your partner’s base (especially helpful when your partner snores excessively). It’s available for both iOS and Android—and is the highest-rated adjustable base app ever.
