The New Balance in-store iPad app has been adopted by both end consumers and store associates. The current statistics indicate an adoption rate 50% higher than anticipated. Results show that consumers are easily finding the products, which meet their needs, and New Balance has been able to reclaim 50% of potential lost sales via the endless aisle (link to corporate inventory) functionality. The stores are also seeing a steady capture of customer data for future marketing initiatives. Through the New Balance iPad app in-store pilot, the organization has proven the economics of this new tool. In addition to rolling the capabilities out to the remaining retail channels, New Balance is looking to add new features and functionality to further increase brand engagement.
