Retirement clients and participants told us they wanted a new and better app to access their plans on the go, anywhere/anytime. Our goal was to transition functionality to a modernized, scalable mobile experience with the ability to be continually enhanced with new features and content. Since the initial build was released in December 2018, we have continued to release enhancements, focused on ease, convenience and personalization, closing gaps with competitors, and meeting client and participant expectations. As a result, app users increased 410% from 170,000 to 697,000 and the iOS App Store rating improved from 1.4 to 4.7 and the Android Google Play Store rating improved from 1.9 to 4.6.
The app was a key resource for participants in March during market volatility as users turned to the app to quickly access their account information, make necessary changes with ease, and access our Market Volatility center.
The Prudential Retirement app is differentiated in that it integrates financial wellness content that is personalized to the user based on their engagement within the app or our web experience, providing relevant financial wellness tips, articles and videos.
