Clarity was engaged to redesign OIG’s primary website as well as two additional entities that existed as part of the site:
OIG Information Portal: Public-facing dashboards, created to make complex information more comprehensible and readily available for the public to search for and visualize facts and statistics about Chicago’s police and public safety operations, City and OIG employees, the City Budget, etc.
O’Hare Tip Line: A tool for members of the public, City employees, and contractors to provide confidential information to the OIG.
Using a WordPress CMS, Clarity redesigned each of the sites while ensuring OIG’s requirement that they share common branding, but be redesigned and rearchitected so that each site clearly communicated its purpose to website visitors, including residents and community groups. These sites were designed to be responsive on mobile devices as well as meet WCAG AA accessibility
standards.
