The Background
Rogers One Number is a new service that allows Rogers wireless customers to talk, text, email and video chat on their computer using their mobile phone number.
The Challenge
One Number launched with a large out of home media buy and a registration process that had to be completed on a desktop computer, our challenge was to increase registration by linking a consumer from an out of home ad to their desktop computer.
Our Solution
Our solution was to maximize consumers connected devices and deliver an email that bridged the consumer from an out of home experience to the comfort of their home computer. We start by adding a QR code and call to action to the out of home ad which linked to a mobile optimized site that allowed for quick registration (name & email address). The site also featured an overview video and expandable content modules that linked the consumer to bite size pieces of information.
After the consumer submitted their name and email address, we set a triggered email to be sent to the consumer later on that night when they most likely would be at home. The email linked them directly to the Rogers One Number sign-up page, where they could complete their registration and download the softphone software.
The user experience and communication plan are a perfect example of using connected devices to link consumers from offline to online and increase conversion.
