The application of the “German Foreign Office” contains main content of the German embas-sies featuring the most important news as well as contact information. Functionalities such as route navigation from users’ current position to the respective German embassies, a watchlist of frequently used embassies and the lasted news on the home screen represent a state-of-the-art application.
To welcome the user in an interactive way and increase the joy-of-use, the navigation of the German embassies has been created entertaining and exploring. The users can look up their embassy by rotating and zooming a globe. After having found the right embassy, the user can mark it as a “favorite” or go to the embassy’s homepage. In addition to the unique way of navi-gation, the user can also search easy and quickly within the embassy-list.
German embassies represent themselves in an innovative and entertaining way. German citizens are provided with contact and information points abroad, including overall advice and tips. The user also gets a first visual impression of the chosen country with different kinds of galleries. Thanks to a cutting-edge mobile user interface, those German embassies are quickly and comfortable accessible – no matter what time, mobile device or country. Along with the mobilization of all 230 web portals, latest and target group specific information about German embassies and consulate services is now available within one single application. Auswärtiges Amt is available for smartphone & tablet, iOS, Android and Mobile Web.
