About the Entry

The Internet and mobile devices have become essentially important in our lives and also for children, the priority of these elements is increasing. Therefore, an entrance to a safe surfing experience should be developed.
fragFINN is a search engine, which is optimized for children. It creates a secure environment to surf and explore the World Wide Web without the questionable sites, which could be dangerous for children. The application uses a “Whitelist-Solution”, which is being updated every day. Chil-dren surf inside the fragFINN App, where all the websites will be checked by the whitelist.
The fragFINN application gives children a guide for their first surfing experiences, where they can learn how to use the internet. It shows new and interesting surf hints for the day. Children can also ask “FINN” all the questions about the internet. Each week, there is a new topic – like the election in Germany – where children get much information about each topic.
Also parents can get information or ask “FINN” questions, how they can protect and support their children while surfing the internet. They can also send websites to “FINN”, which they would like to have on the “whitelist” or want to remove.
fragFINN gives the internet user of the future the chance to have a secure and interesting first experience within the World Wide Web. FragFINN mobile Edition is avaible for smartphone & tablet, iOS, Android, Windows8 and mobile web.
