About the Entry

Corey was engaged by MIT School of Science to develop a responsive website for multiple interfaces while presenting an exciting, elegant, and modern tone. MIT school colors unify the visual vocabulary and create a simple and contemporary tone. During the design process, the Corey team thought strategically about what kinds of content are most desirable on different mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones and personalizing content based on their scenario. With this in mind, Corey prioritized different information based on those contexts. There are clearly labeled “Sections” that streamline the information search process. A carousel scrolls, relaying the latest news and upcoming events, keeping the page fresh. Aligning with the Institute’s simple and modern feel, Corey created a mobile web design that presented multiple calls to action, including a promotion for the Science@MIT Newsletter as well as links to social media channels. This mobile website thoughtfully engages prospective donors, undergraduate and graduate students, internal faculty researchers as well as outside contacts like the media and external researchers and educators.
