With the recent transformation of Madison Square Garden and new rosters for the NY Knicks and Rangers, MSG Networks decided that it too needed more than a site refresh. They turned to Roundarch Isobar to create an entirely new digital strategy that aligns network programming and the site into a cross-channel viewing experience.
In order to keep fans engaged when there’s no action on the court or in the rink, Roundarch Isobar co-developed an entirely new experience that makes fans become one with the game. MSG Gameflow allows viewers to watch up to the minute game stats and easily share via social media. The second screen experience puts fans right in the game whether they’re in front of their hdtv or out on the town. MSG.com and it’s companion app were developed to reach NY Sports Sophisticates, an elite, discerning breed of fans as passionate about New York as they are about their teams. Always eager to be in the know, New York sports fans require inside information that other sports fans don’t have. The MSG Gameflow app provides insight in real time through detailed up to the minute game stats. The truly responsive site also targets the individual watching the game with a phone or tablet in hand, whether they are in front of the TV or out and about. MSG.com gives NY Sports Sophisticates the ultimate place to cheer, argue, share, learn, like, socialize and celebrate, ultimately deepening their passion for their hometown teams and fueling rivalries.
