About the Entry

Americans for the Arts' website serves our nationwide network of arts professionals and supporters passionate about the arts. Our members and stakeholders are invested in similar projects, but isolated and scattered across the country. The new website bridges this gap by spotlighting professional development tools and key research, providing a place for peer learning, and sharing humanized stories. The redesign’s three major goals were: 1) serve a broad audience, 2) offer intuitive navigation, developed with our visitors in mind, in order to present a strong brand message, with clearer presentation of our organization's scope of work, and 3) prioritize engaging, useful content, tailored to the needs of our audiences as collected through their feedback during beta testing. Tagged content is cross-promoted throughout the site based on usefulness to our visitors. The modular, mobile-responsive design allows page elements to be easily rearranged—helping visitors find the most relevant content, regardless of device.
